PRIVACY POLICY
Overview
This page explains what information TrendinCookware.com collects when you visit, what we do with it, and what choices you have. We've written it plainly because we think you should actually be able to understand it.
What We Collect and How
There are two categories of information that come into play when you use this site.
The first is information you give us directly. If you contact us through our contact form, subscribe to emails, or leave a comment somewhere on the site, you're providing your name and email address. We use that information for the specific purpose you provided it — responding to your message or sending you the content you asked to receive. Nothing else.
The second category is technical data collected automatically through your visit. This includes things like your IP address, browser type, device, which pages you visited, how long you spent on them, and how you arrived at the site.
This data is collected through cookies and Google Analytics. We use it to understand which content is useful, how the site is being used, and where things could be improved. It's aggregated and anonymized — we're looking at patterns, not individual users.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and track usage.
We use cookies for site functionality, analytics, and affiliate tracking through Impact.com. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some site features may not function correctly if you do.
Affiliate Tracking
We're a publisher on Impact.com, and their system uses cookies to track when someone clicks an affiliate link on this site and makes a purchase.
This is how we receive commissions on qualifying sales — the cookie connects your purchase back to our referral.
The Amazon Associates Program works similarly for links pointing to Amazon.
We are also a publisher partner on Impact.com (Publisher ID: 7137381) through which we earn commissions from partnered cookware brands
Impact.com's own privacy policy covers how they handle data on their end.
Third-Party Services
Google Analytics runs on this site and collects anonymized traffic data. If you'd prefer to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, Google provides a browser add-on for this purpose.
We use third-party email platforms to manage newsletter subscriptions and send emails. We don't share subscriber email addresses with anyone for marketing purposes.
This site links to Instagram and Facebook. Once you leave this site and visit those platforms, their own privacy policies apply — we have no control over what they do with your data.
What We Don't Do
We don't sell your personal information. We don't rent it or trade it. We don't share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. This has never happened and it won't.
How Long We Keep Data
Email subscribers remain in our system until they unsubscribe, which is always one click from any email we send.
Contact form submissions are kept for a reasonable follow-up period and then deleted.
Analytics data follows Google's standard retention settings.
Your Rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, or withdraw any consent you've given.
Reach out through our Contact page and we'll handle it.
Children's Privacy
This site isn't directed at anyone under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top of the page will reflect it. We won't change it without a real reason.
