ABOUT US
Welcome to TrendinCookware
TrendinCookware started because we got tired of bad cookware advice. Not bad in an obvious way — nobody was outright lying. But the reviews we kept finding online were either written by people who had clearly never cooked a meal in their lives, or by publications that received products for free and somehow always concluded that everything was excellent.
Neither was particularly useful when you're standing in front of a $300 pan trying to decide if it's worth it. So we built something different.
This site is built around one working principle: we don't recommend anything we wouldn't buy with our own money. That sounds simple. In practice it means we spend a lot of time with products that turn out to be mediocre, and we say so.
It means we compare things honestly even when one option is clearly better than another. And it means commission rates have never changed a single recommendation on this site — a brand we don't believe in doesn't get featured here regardless of what they're willing to pay.
What We Cover
What we actually cover is cookware — specifically, the brands and products that real home cooks are actually buying and using. That means nonstick pans, stainless steel sets, cast iron, Dutch ovens, carbon steel, and the brands behind them.
Our reviews are built around construction quality, real-world performance, how the product holds up over time, and whether the price is actually justified given what you're getting.
We read everything published about a product, study the manufacturing details, and track how user feedback evolves over months and years of use — not just first impressions from people who got the pan last week.
Who We Are
The author behind most of what you'll read here is Lena Elliott, who has spent the better part of five years writing about cookware and kitchen equipment.
Her approach to reviewing is grounded in skepticism born from real experience. She focuses on long-term performance rather than first impressions, because most pans feel fine on day one and show their real quality six months later.
How We Keep the Site Running
We partner with Impact.com as an affiliate publisher, which means some links on this site may earn us a commission when you make a purchase. This is how we keep the site running and keep our content free for readers.
It has no effect on what we recommend. Editorial integrity comes first.
Thank You
Thanks for being here. We hope something on this site saves you from a purchase you'd have regretted.
